about Fr. Thomas Nairn, OFM

Rev. Thomas Nairn, is a senior Director of Theology and Ethics at the Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHA).  He is a frequent contributor to CHA’s Health Progress Journal and serves on the editorial board of the online  ethics publication Health Care Ethics USA.  He leads planning for CHA’s annual Theology and Ethics Colloquium and is a frequent presenter and lecturer about health care ethics to organizations in the U.S. and abroad.  He is a board member of the Supportive Care Coalition and Aquinas Institute of Theology.

Rev. Nairn has published numerous articles about medical ethics and other ethical issues in various publications such as The Annual of the Society of Christian Ethics, the AMA Journal,  Virtual Mentor, and numerous others. 

Prior to joining CHA, Father Nairn was the Erica and Harry John Family Professor of Catholic Ethics at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago.

Rev. Nairn holds a Ph,.D from the University of Chicago Divinity School and has taught at St. Bonaventure University in New York; Yara Theological Union in Australia; St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minn. And Holy Trinity College in Zimbabwe.
